Coursified

Learn from the free videos you would watch anyway. Leave with proof you can do the work.

3kinds of graded work: code, spreadsheets, slides

Freeto learn. You pay for the credential, never for the video
01Why it exists

I learned most of it from YouTube. The problem was never the teaching.

Courses cost more than I had, and the ones I could reach often did not cover what I actually needed, so I learned from books and from YouTube — and I learned a great deal. What YouTube has never had is order. Nothing tells you what comes first, what you have just skipped, or whether any of it went in.

Coursified puts the order back. It searches out the best videos on a subject, arranges them into a pathway and fills the gaps between them, so what you end up with is a course rather than a playlist.

Then it does the parts a playlist cannot. Labs to practise in without leaving the page, quizzes as you go, an assessment at the end, and a certificate you can actually put somewhere.

02Where it is

Launched, with checkout live and priced in naira. We have not queried users or revenue, so this page carries neither. The free tier is the whole learning experience; the certificate is the paywall.

03What it does
Watch what is already free

Any public YouTube video becomes a structured course. The creator keeps every view, ad and analytic.

Do the work

Labs beside the video — write code that has to pass hidden tests, build a model that has to reconcile, make a deck that has to survive checks.

Leave with proof

A graded assessment produces artifacts an employer can inspect, not a certificate saying you attended.

04The proof The generator is the cheap part. The graded artifact is the product.

From a link to a course

The eight stages of a build

Paste a link, wait about two minutes. This part is a mechanism, not the product — turning a video into a course is a prompt and an API call, and it will be commodity within a year.

Why a certificate of attendance is worthless

What employers say, and what employers do

Employers say credentials matter, then hire on degrees anyway. There are roughly two million unique credentials in the US alone. What survives that pile is evidence of production — which is the only thing we sell.

What you pay for

30-day pass — everything, one payment₦12,000₦8,000
1-year pass₦96,000₦64,000

What is built

SurfaceDetail
WebNext.js, 47 routes including a 13-route admin surface
MobileExpo with expo-router and NativeWind
BackendThree Cloudflare Workers, eight shared packages
DataNeon Postgres, 30 tables
Labssheet-engine and slides-checks — structural grading
AgentsIts own MCP tool surface at mcp.coursified.app

Agents get five tool families — discover, create, author, curate and personalise. Anonymous callers get catalogue reads; anything that spends money needs a scoped credential with its own rate limit, so a leaked key cannot spend a person’s allowance.

What we do not claim

  • No usage or revenue figures. Checkout is live; nobody has run the queries, and a number somebody remembered is worse than none.
  • The certificate is a signed record on our own domain — not an Open Badges 3.0 verifiable credential. Saying otherwise would be a standards claim we cannot support.
  • There is no creator revenue share. It has no schema and no code, and it is not promised to any creator.
  • The employer figures above are from Inside Higher Ed and BestColleges via our own strategy memo — industry survey data, not our measurement.
05Straight talk

What we will not do, and what we do not yet have.

  • We price the credential, never the videoThe videos are free and should stay free. Learning costs nothing here.
  • We never re-hostPlayback stays inside YouTube’s own player, so the creator keeps their views.
  • Nothing covers the playerQuizzes and labs render beside the video, never over it.
  • Captions go in 21 daysPolicy allows 30. We sit under it deliberately.
  • No usage numbers yetCheckout is live. Users and revenue are not queried.
  • Not a standards credentialSigned on our own domain, not Open Badges 3.0.

Capital to finish these and take them to market.
